Romeo and Juliet is one of William Shakespeare's best and most memorable plays with two lovers experiencing troubles to be together. Yet, controversies in the play still come into view. One of those controversies is who is to blame for the tragedy but so many people in this play could be potential people of interest. Tybalt and Mercutio started the tragedy with Tybalt killing Mercutio and eventually ending with Tybalt dying due to Romeo’s desire to get revenge. However, the occurrence of the fight was due to the hatred between the households which could leave that possibly at blame. Despite the two households, if Friar John had delivered the letter to Romeo; Romeo would not have killed himself as he would have known what was about to play out. However, with all this speculation there is more detail behind the accusations then what you may think.

The first accusation that could be made would be against Tybalt and Mercutio with their useless and unnecessary brawl in the streets of Verona. The fight was ignited by Tybalt being angry and frustrated with his cousin Juliet marrying a Montague, Romeo. The prized and priceless letter that was required to find Romeo in Mantua was another turning point. This mission requested to Friar John from Friar Lawrence was not accomplished. The consequences were paid with the letter containing crucial information to Romeo including how Juliet faked her death.
