“If all else fail, myself have power to die” (3.5.243). It is clear to see Juliet's undying devotion to her Romeo. Furthermore, she states how she would rather die than go on and live with another live with another. While some might see this as a true loves moment, it truly is an irrational mistake that Juliet vowed to make. In Shakespeare's “Romeo and Juliet”, the two star crossed lovers do anything in their power to ultimately be together. Both Juliet and Romeo choose to make choices that were senseless from the very beginning. They entangle both the Nurse and Friar Lawrence to lie for them and take the blame for their destruction they induced, only to foolishly end it all. Both made horrible decisions throughout the play. By Romeo killing Tybalt, threatening to kill himself because he can not see Juliet, Juliet threatening to kill herself because she can not see Romeo, Juliet and Romeo forcing the Nurse and Friar Lawrence to do their bidding for them, and ultimately killing themselves without a moment of doubt or question are the reasons why their deaths are their fault.
