Elite Athletes we hear about them every day Stephen Curry, Cameron Newton, and Ronda Rousey just to list a few. They did not become elite athletes overnight there was repeated steps that they took to get to the elite level in their profession. There are certain traits that each of these athletes have that separate them Stephen Curry is a 3 point specialist arguably the best in NBA History, Cameron Newton is fast has a strong arm with a 4.59 forty to prove it while he has speed he also had size with almost unhuman build 6 foot 5 and 248 pounds. You are able to let the coach give you constructive criticism even though what he is saying may seem personal it really isn’t the coach is most likely trying to look out for you, you take what he says to you and you apply it to your game. You have to be coachable to have a chance of being elite because if you’re not coachable most likely you won’t be able to play a minute in your sport. Being coachable might be hard for some players, because trying to apply what coach teaches you is hard for some, because other players catch on faster than others, but those who get it right away are the ones who have a better chance of being elite at their sport. Not being able to be coachable would be you doing something opposite to what coach tells you to do like if he says run left but you always run right you aren’t coachable at the time, because you can process what he wants you to do and apply it. And honestly not every athlete can take constructive criticism some may get mad towards it some may feel sad so being able to be coachable isn’t possible for all
