Peaceful resistance to laws positively impacts a free society by invoking thought on an unjust subject. If Rosa Parks had not stood up for her individual rights, America could have been segregated even today. If no one protests laws, the world will not be free. Without freedom, society will cease to exist. The modern world will disappear into another era of fear and oppression if there is no one to fight for rights. The people of the world cannot allow another free nation to slip away into medieval ways. Citizens of all castes must band together to protect freedom. If one person does not have freedom, no one has freedom. When no one strives to make the world a better place for the meek, the world is not a good place for the strong. If people continue to turn a blind eye to the mistreatment of the weak, the world will turn to dictators and murderers as leaders as it has many times before. The people of the twenty-first century have created a blurred line of morality. Society bases right and wrong after authority figures or fictional characters. Morality is not based on what one person decides. Morality and virtues should be based on whether or not the morals are benefiting or hurting others. As time goes on, outdated laws must be reevaluated. The only way for authoritarians to reconsider a law is if it is brought into light continuously. An idea, fairness, and equality only die when people stop talking. If anything is to be reformed, there must be knowledge of the wrongdoing.
