The Most Extraordinary Organism- Giraffa Camelopardalis rothschildi Red List, Red List read all about it! The Rothschild Giraffe has found protection from man-made environment changes such as, the clearing of land for farming or the paid prize to hunt them down for sport, they now dwell protected in Kenya or Uganda, Africa. A Rothschild is the only Giraffe that has five horns while all other species have two. Also the Rothschild spots are different than other Giraffes. Their patches are dark brown with black and orange color to them and trickle getting lighter down to the knees and stop; from the knee down the leg is white, some say they look like white stockings. These patches are used for camouflage but they serve other purposes as well such as allowing heat to release from their bodies.
