Solomona’s argument has exposed legal and financial issues within the sports of rugby with commercial issue. Once when the type of sport hits commercial issue, thing goes complicated.
The most related part of law involved would be the law on contract. In somehow, there should be binding agreement between two or more parties. Especially the occupation of professional athlete, rugby player in this case has become recognized as one of the most financially rewarding professions.
Parties are formally free to require modifications to be written, but they are not formally free to prevent themselves from modifying their contract in the future (Scott 2003). Solomona’s contract with Castleford Tigers will last until the end of 2018, even he announced retire but he then switch to another club, his professionalism as an athlete would also restricted with his contract. Of course even the contract is not release to public in details. In this case, he is not being transfer within am open market by sales and purchase contract. Violation of partnership and trade agreement were existed. More parties could be involved, for example the most sensitive was that he could have breached of a term of the sponsorship agreement, followed by breaching supply services agreement or even collaboration contract in organizing …show more content…

Sale Sharks, Solomona’s current team in rugby union with indirect conflict in the case. Their first priority clearly is their games of current season. Even it is a legal case; they do not prefer getting the lawyers involvement. This is somehow a very common situation, as it will become a distraction and every expensive to go through the court for the next couple of years.
This means, most of the sports conflicts involving contract, time is a critical issue for the sport person and also their clubs. Even the noise is loud, but usually settles with a quick and quiet deal.

3.2 Society perspective
As a single incident, society might consider this is an anticipatory breach of contract as Solomona intends not to perform his side of the bargain. Although such breach of contract involved certain ramification, Solomona reputation does not bring a larger impact to society. Athletic reputation usually built along their game performance instead of their contract between clubs. Society would rather have their favorite player able to continue playing rather than undergoing years of law
