Distinctively visual is defined as the way techniques and forms are used in text to create multiple meanings and interpretations. Without distinctively visual techniques everything would become meaningless. T.S. We learn that life is uncertain and anything can happen. The motif of the number 20 demonstrates the pressure time has on life. The timing of your action can affect another person’s life. Scenes where Lola is seen running becomes symbolic of time passing by. Life is like a video game where every moment is crucial and we are trying to outrun time but the reality is that our lives are ruled by time. The phone card becomes a symbol of time, shown by Manni acting of slamming the phone down when the card ran out of time. You experience the domination that time has over people.

‘Cradle to Grave’ include the vector lines of all the cars in the same direction highlights that people are dictated by time. Portraying that we are limited by time constraints, consequently not straying from our prearranged path which ultimately constrict us from begin individuals. The omission of colour represents how everyone’s life will end up the same, mundane. The time given to us is useless because we have conform to time and therefore we are moving through life like mass produced toys on a conveyor
