Russian Revolution In 1922, as a result of the Russian Revolution, a new political party emerged: the USSR or the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was the world’s first communist state. Communism was a new political and economic model that was supposed to get rid of class distinction. From the beginning, communism opposed capitalism and capitalist countries like the United States. The Russian Revolution united the socialists against the capitalists, with the USSR, a communist country, siding with the socialists.
In 1917, Tsar Nicholas ll is the current ruler of Russia. Russia’s economic growth is increased by the Czar’s reforms of the production of factories. During this era, Russia desperately needed to keep up with the rest of Europe’s industry. This reform worked perfectly, but the working conditions of these factories didn’t charm factory workers. After the events of the Russo-Japanese War, “Bloody Sunday”, and WW1, Russia was in utter chaos under the Czar’s ghastly leadership.
The Russian revolution resulted in the overthrow of the country’s monarchy and the establishment of the Soviet Union. It started off with many protests and strikes that forced Tsar Nicholas II out of power. As a result, a provisional government was put in place but it was weak and ineffective so the Bolsheviks took control and established a socialist government. The Bolshevik Revolution was caused by a combination of unstable and corrupt monarchies, unfair treatment of the populace, and a lagging industry, which eventually led to the creation of the USSR.
Based on how history people starving and Czar Nicholas 2 doing whatever he wanted was the main cause of the Russian Revolution. During this time people were being rationed for food because of the costly war effort. Along with the people going hungry Czar Nicholas 2 was constantly dissolving the Duma to get what he wanted. People started to lose faith in him due to government corruption and the way he was letting his people starve. People began to riot and the soldiers that were sent to end their rebellion defected to their cause and helped them to get rid of Czar Nicholas 2.

Since there was such a large peasant population it was easy for them to rebel and win. Many troops were just simply peasants in uniform and when the tsar order the soldiers to shoot the people rebelling they didn’t and the tsar had no power.(doc.2).These peasant were known as proletariats, the growing class of factory and railroad workers, miners, and urban wage earners.(doc.4).Lenin, the leader of the Bolshevik party spread the works of Karl Marx to many factory workers with other socialist.(doc.4).Lenin was profoundly affected by his older brother Alexander’s 1887 execution for being involved in a plot to assassinate the tsar.(doc.5).The peasants tried to make a petition to overthrow the tsar’s reign but he refused to meet with them.(doc.1)This gave the peasants almost no choice but to revolt. Finally, in March the tsar is overthrown and within about a day there were no signs of the tsar because the peasants had burned or taken down everything that even made you think of him. Little did the Russians know that it was more difficult to construct a government than to destroy
The Russian Revolution of 1917 marked the end of the Romanov dynasty and centuries of Russian Imperial rule. During the Russian Revolution, the Bolsheviks, led by leftist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin seized power and destroyed the tradition of czarist rule. Civil War broke out in Russia between the Red and White Armies. The Red Army fought for the Lenin’s Bolshevik government. The White Army represented a large group of monarchists, capitalists and supporters of democratic socialism.
Source 1 is from a textbook used to educate people in the Soviet Union in 1948. It is boasting about the tremendous success that socialism has had in the USSR, and how everyone except the “exploiting class” love it and have benefited from it. It also talks about the betterment of the Soviet Union because of the Great Purges and war communism finally being achieved. This source rejects liberalism because it is not stating the truth, but rather what the government allows the publishing agency of the textbook to say. There is no transparency towards the people by the government.

The Russian revolution was caused by hard labor, unprepared leaders, and how Russia was industrially behind.

For instance, many citizens were worried for their protection in consequence to the lack of survival necessities due to an early drought. Furthermore, their current czar during the time was incapable for his position as a czar and made horrendous decisions as czar. For example, when the czar, Nicholas, entered in World War I, he sent untrained troops into countless battles of failure which costed in mass amounts of lost life (paragraph 23).

Russia was one of the most impoverished countries in Europe with an enormous amount of peasants and a growing population of poor industrial workers in the early 1900s. Most of the world viewed Russia as a backward society, as the Russian Empire practiced serfdom well into the nineteenth century. While the majority of Western Europe had abandoned the practice by the end of the Middle Ages.
The Russian Revolution is a governmental overthrow of a ruling that took place in the early twentieth century. Prior to the revolution, Russia was ruled by Czar Nicholas II who was a part of the last reigning Russian monarch, the Tsar. The Tsar had complete power in Russia as he owned much of the land, commanded the army, and controlled the church. During the reign of the Tsar, the Russian citizens were treated badly and unfair. They experienced vigorous labor in dangerous conditions for little pay and were without food and money countless times.
One of the major reasons to the French Revolution to happen was the absolute monarchism. Absolute monarchism is a king and queen system and they had absolute power. France in 1789 had a absolute monarchy system ruled by queen Marie Antoinette and king Louis the sixteenth. Absolute monarchism was bad to France because they have just a little connection with the citizens of France and the government and that is the opposite of social contract. Other reason to the Russian Revolution to happen is the state system.
By doing this, they overthrown the poorly run government as the Russian people were in favour of a new system that would work in their favour. The Russian Revolution was triggered by the social, political and economic problems, that combined caused the Russian people to rebel. This Revolution was triggered by the poverty of the Russian people, the loss from the wars, the sneakiness of Rasputin and the failure of the Tsar, Nicholas II. The social causes of the Russian Revolution arose from centuries of oppression towards the lower classes.
