French Revolution was the revolutionary movement that shook France between 1787 and its climax in 1789 which denotes the end of the ancien régime in France (The Editors of Encyclopedia Britannica, 2016).It was a significant chapter as it was a period of political and social upheaval and radical change in the history of France during which the French governmental structure underwent radical change as they overthrew the monarchy who was in favor of Aristocrats and the Clergy (New World Encyclopedia, 2017). It was an attack on the monarchy where the people questioned the existence of it; the Ancien Régime, the old institution that is old and evil that hinders the progress of the development of the people was furthermore questioned, and this is when they established a republic. This is the time were servants were turned to citizens with rights.
