The Charleston RiverDogs had their first playoff campaign in 11 years come to an ill-fated end on Saturday night at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Ballpark, falling to the Rome Braves, 4-1 in front of a crowd of 2,230 supporters. Charleston’s loss on Saturday evening left them one game shy of stamping their ticket to the South Atlantic League championship round for the first time in franchise history. The Dogs earned the South Division first-half title in July with almost an entirely different club, as many of the starters were called up to the high-A Tampa Yankees. The season set records for attendance, 293,161 fans walked through the ballpark’s gates this season.

In Cleveland, Ohio there was a fire that occurred on June 22, 1969, around 12pm on the Cuyahoga river. People called it the “burning river”. The river caught on fire because there were floating pieces of debris that was slicked with oil. The debris ignited by sparks that came from a train that was passing over the river. The reason it happened is from years of people dumping pollution into the river.

The Apalachicola River begins in Georgia with the Chattahoochee River, north of Atlanta. Once the river crosses the Georgia-Florida border and is joined by the Flint River it’s called the Apalachicola River. Old Sacramento is also a home of successful business during the nineteenth century, due to a district that was created in Old Sacramento.
The Interconnectedness of Loss Losing someone is inevitable. Because of that inevitability, people find it hard to move on and forgive. Because of that inevitability, conflicts rise and when comfort and unity is needed, it is not there. Because of that inevitability, people are influenced to do things, whether negative or positive, to ease the pain that they know they have to endure. Just like this, Saints at the River is also conflicted in a similar way.
Film #1 - “The People of the Kattawapiskak River” Introduction In the documentary “The people of the Kattawapiskak River”, the housing crisis and lack of assistance promised in Northern Ontario is represented. The Documentary closely follows the chief of the Attawapiskat tribe and portrays the difficult living conditions endured by local residents. These problematic conditions include the lack of clean water, electricity and basic housing especially during the intolerable cold Canadian winter. Moreover, when a colony around the world is suffering it is our duty as human beings to help them through their difficult times.

The California Water Wars involved Owen 's Valley and Los Angeles struggling with each other. Mulholland built a aqueduct, but where did the water come from? The water was provided from the Owen 's Lake. The farmers and ranchers of Owen 's Valley didn 't give up their water rights easily. Fred Eaton and William Mulholland both used lies and a series of trickery and strategies to convince the farmers to give their water to Los Angeles.
The reclamation of the San Joaquin River has improved the surrounding ecosystem drastically. With the river return came improvement in the aspects that were questioned before the restoration. Restoring the San Joaquin has revitalized the community, resurrected the salmon population, and catalyzed a change in California water management. The doubts of the people were settled by proving that the river renewal not only brought back salmon population, but rehabilitated the neighboring areas. Reconstruction of the San Joaquin river has been estimated to generate 11,000 new local jobs in the San Joaquin Valley this will help expand and strengthen the region’s economy.
How does a person’s response to and perspective of a crisis define him or her? In the event of a crisis, a person’s response and perspective of it can define him or her. In the novel, The Book Thief, written by Markus Zusak, and the short story, “On the Rainy River”, written by Tim O’Brien, the characters experience crisis all around them. Hans Hubermann in The Book Thief and Tim O’Brien in “On the Rainy River” have a hard time staying true to themselves in moments of crisis.
Deep River is a book written by Shusaku Endo. In the book with you can read 4 main stories about seeking to find oh rather said looking to be more spiritual by following the ritual and myths in a way to be in a better spiritual connection. Each character has a very important role because one of them is in search of something that helps them to understand and manage their spirituality and emotions in a way that is comfortable. Something very curious about the book is that each chapter is mentioned with the name case. For each story gave me an idea of how I would develop the story.
