Kon is the shortest, quickest order in the Arabic language and he needs to say it only once. Also, kon does not indicate any particular time, location, nor does it indicate the nature of what or who is being ordered. It is inclusive to everything and everyone. There is power to that, there is a strong point behind that illustrating God’s abilities. I think in 2:117, God reveals that if he desires, he can also destroy what he pleases with the order of kon. He addresses those who think darkness was created from evil and light was created from good; God reveals that he created both.
