In the novel “The Odyssey” {{mention the author here}} we see that the main character Odysseus has been held captive by Calypso, Calypso held Odysseus for a number of years, however Calypso gave Odysseus whatever he wants and has provided for Odysseus in many ways. Odysseus still is a married man to Penelope and they have a young son that he wants to get back to and be with them. Calypso has held Odysseus to for seven years trying to marry him and sleep with Odysseus and she has given everything to Odysseus that he desires. Odysseus has a son that he wants to get back to and a wife that needs him. Odysseus has enough courage to try to leave the island when Hermes helped Odysseus escape. Hermes has helped Odysseus escape from the Island that he was on and from the captivity from Calypso and now Odysseus has to take a long journey home to Ithaca and to his loving wife Penelope and his Son. When we look at the situation that Odysseus was in we have to wonder what I would do in that situation. Odysseus was taken captive in an Island away from his wife Penelope and son. In this situation you have to think what would I do? Calypso was very nice to Odysseus but he was still held against his will. However Odysseus was gone for seven years away from his house, his family friends, and his own Kingdom. They don't know if he's still alive, if I was Odysseus would want to go home but at the same time I would have to think about my family they would have probably moved on now the kingdom would have a new ruler. Odysseus has a couple options he could stay with Calypso on the Island of paradise. Or he can go back and be with his wife and son back in Ithaca. The choice seems clear seems pretty easy but at the same time it's kind of
