Thousands of women have screamed at the top of their lungs, clawed at the patriarchy, and tirelessly fought for their rights as citizens of the United States of America. From the beginning of mankind, women have been labeled as inferior to men not only physically, but mentally and intellectually as well. Only in 1920 did women gain the right to voice their opinions in government elections while wealthy white men received the expected right since the creation of the United States. A pioneer in women’s suffrage, Susan B. Anthony publicly spoke out against this hypocrisy in a time when women were only seen as child bearers and household keepers. Using the United State’s very own Constitution and Declaration as ammunition, Anthony wrote countless
The forth crime that was charged was, disbelief ‘in the gods of the city.’ This charge is a result from the first charge of being ‘a natural philosopher.’ He indeed did not believe in any of the Olympian deities. He may have gotten out of this one if he praised any god and paid tribute to them, but he did not. Because he didn’t, he had committed treason.
The Saint Crispin’s Day Speech is a popular pre-battle speech given by King Henry to the British Army in Shakespeare’s Henry V. Actors Kenneth Branagh and Laurence Olivier interpret the speech in both different and similar ways. To begin, both renditions of the speech are made outdoors, possibly alluding to the approaching battle. Although, Branagh and his men are in a forest whereas Olivier is in an encampment on the plains. Also, both Branagh and Olivier are seen walking through the crowds of soldiers in order to encourage them.

Jeanne d’Arc, now commonly known as Joan of Arc, was born on the 6th of January 1412, in the town of Domrémy, located in the northeast of France . She was born into a peasant family, albeit a well off one, as well as a religious one, as her uncle was a priest. The Hundred Years’ War had been ongoing for the past six decades, which had taken its toll on the French economy and people. At thirteen years old, she began to hear voices in her head, urging her to aid the King of France, and by the age of 17, she was in the court of the Dauphin, dictating an ultimatum the King of England .

During Adolph Hitler’s speech to thousands of German women at the National Socialist Women’s Organization in Nuremberg in 1934, the Nazi vision was expressed by mobilizing support amongst Protestant and Catholic German women to produce multiple children. Hitler’s speech reveals how the rejection of emancipation and an increase in childbearing is required in order to secure the German homeland for the future through expansion of military strength and size. Primarily, women were persuaded to reject Jewish intellectual ideas of emancipation which were deemed hostile for marital relationships and Germany’s future. Moreover, a strong push for traditional patriarchal values reaffirming women’s duty to bear children on behalf of providence was aimed at increasing the size of the German population. Furthermore, the desire to expand the Aryan race to fuel Germany’s army was required to ensure a stable and prosperous future.
To understand the impact of Joan of Arc in society, one must know her life story. Beware that the history of Joan of Arc has been tainted by the opinions of writers through the ages (Barstow, 121 & Guillemin, 24). Due to these various interpretations, Joan’s true life story remains a mystery. It is known that Joan of Arc was born to a peasant family in Domremy, France around 1412 A.D. She had no formal schooling but, from an early age, was taught formal prayer.

Thank you, Millicent Fawcett, for giving me the opportunity to speak on behalf of the National Union of Women 's Suffrage Societies which Millicent leads with grace and dignity. Some of you may know me and some of you may not, but I am Clementine Forest one of 3000 women suffragists who has marched here today, the largest march ever occurred, for the cause of women 's suffrage. I am here to represent and express the importance of women receiving the right to vote. Unfortunately, the London weather wasn 't on our side with the presence of heavy rain throughout our march from Hyde Park to Exter Hall, but this reinforces that nothing will stop women from protesting their right to vote. As you know we have been gathered together as one, today on February 9th, 1907, the day in which Parliament is open once again for the coming year.
