Samkisha currently lives with her mother, Lakisha Beale and three brothers, Sakemio, Samking and Samuel. Mrs. Lakisha Beale has a traffic criminal record and she was apprehensive about providing her children’s criminal history to this officer. Per Portsmouth Court Service Unit records and the Virginia Court Case Information System, all of Samkisha 's siblings have either delinquency or criminal record and a record of criminal or delinquent violence. Per Mrs. Beale, Sakemio is currently attending Virginia State University. Portsmouth Court Service Unit records indicate Sakemio was previously on juvenile probation supervision twice for curfew violation, which he successfully completed on January 24, 2014. She also stated he knew about her court hearing. Mrs. Beale reported she and Mr. Robinson have been separated for approximately 13 years and she has limited contact with him.

Samkisha follows rules. Samkisha is usually subject to appropriate consequences for bad behavior and usually receives appropriate rewards for good behavior. Mrs. Beale reported she usually takes Samkisha’s cell phone as a punishment. Her mother usually demonstrates good supervision. Nevertheless, her mother minimizes, denies, and justifies her behavior. Mrs. Beale was upset Samkisha was charged with the current offenses, stating “Samkisha was assaulted by the young lady first.” Samkisha 's home includes some conflict, but it is well managed.

Her family provides ongoing opportunities for growth and consistently provides love, caring, and support. Samkisha has a close relationship with her mother. As a family, Mrs. Beale reported they “have fun together. We go out to eat and go shopping a lot.” There is a strong social support network for Samkisha 's family.
