As a former student in M201/ M202, I have to admit that I was a bit intimidated at the size of the ICD-10 CM/PCS coding books. However, as we began learning about the guidelines and rules to coding it all started to come together. Last year’s transition to ICD-10 for the United States, had required changes for all health care systems.
In summarizing Senate Bill 200 (SB 200), SB 200 offers a more effective use of resources to hold offenders responsible, attain better results for Kentucky youths in the juvenile justice system and their families, and maintain public safety. The amendments to the bill are grounded on recommendations from a bi-partisan, inter-branch task force and extensive stakeholder input. The bill addresses three key points to ensure improved effectiveness and outcomes. Firstly, using the right resources on the right child to produce better outcomes. SB 200 uses the costly resources/treatments on more serious offenders by placing restrictions on the commitment of lower level offenders and the length of time they may be placed out-of-home.
Thank you Mrs. Stephanie Smeltzer, for providing the team with the recent incident of Aki. To the school and treatment team, as Aki is receiving OPT/TSF services through New Behavioral Network in his school and family session (only provided by his Therapeutic Support for Families (TSF) worker) on Thursday due to his foster mother’s availability. It is noted, Aki has started to display more frequent aggressive behaviors in his classroom which has been observed by his TSF worker along with school officials, to which the Aki’s behaviors has become a concern as it is putting others at risk of his tantrums as his exhibiting behaviors of throwing objects which last for a period of 2 hours.
Mildred Pasek, my friend and colleague died on August 8th 2017 following an anterior approached back surgery on July 28th at the New England Baptist Hospital. Before you read on, my goal is not to criticize the orthopedic or vascular surgeon’s professionalism, immense skill or personal care of Mildred as these cases affects all providers on a deep emotional and professional level. My concern is for the post-operative care of patients, like Mildred, who have comorbidities, are not necessarily in the ideal condition going into surgery, or at a critical time can advocate for themselves. As well as the debilitating arthritis, she had hypertension required three antihypertensive medications to control. Those meds were held pre surgery, and never resumed.

The person who established communism was Karl Marx. He believed that there should be no such thing as lower or upper classes. In the document it says, “Once everyone owned all things in common, class distinction would be erased and the class struggle that marked human history since its beginnings would come to an end.” To me this shows his beliefs to be inspirational. Marx’s ideas could pose as a domestic threat through the Cold War, the McCarthyism Era, and the involving of espionage.
The emergency room physician, David C. Lee, M.D., ordered medication, a series of diagnostic tests, and blood cultures, and he admitted Mrs. Adae to the hospital for further observation and testing, in order to rule out myocardial infarction and ACS. Dr. Lee listed "infectious etiology" in his differential diagnoses. Jennifer Bain, M.D., came on duty as an attending physician during the morning of June 29, 2006. Dr. Bain, an employee of UC, recorded her suspicion that Mrs. Adae 's chest pain was musculoskeletal. Dr. Bain noted that Mrs. Adae 's EKG, cardiac enzymes, and blood tests, with the exception of her elevated blood sugar, were normal.
How Will Flooding of the Embarcadero Impact the Urban Geography of San Francisco? The mean sea level off of the coast of San Francisco has shown a clear positive increase with respect to time since 1855, according to the chart below. It is projected that the sea level of San Francisco could increase by as much as two feet in the next hundred years (National Trust for Historic Preservation, n.d.). In future years, it is impossible to deny that some of the most important coastal areas of San Francisco could be affected by rising sea levels, like the Embarcadero , a lively waterfront area at the end of Market Street in San Francisco that contributes $2.1 billion to the tourist industry (National Trust for Historic Preservation, n.d.).
