Man Taken By Shark
Yesterday in the early morning at around 4am a young pearl diver at the age of 30, was attacked by a Tiger shark. He was out in Roebuck Bay on the coast of Kimberly when this incident happened. The pearling crew confirmed that the victim of the attack was Samuel Jackson, and that they had been unaware of his attack when it happened because he was so far away. The crew of the lugger pulled in his air hose to find no one at the end.
The captain said to the reporter, “Samuel had always been a strong man. No matter how rough the sea was, he would always go in, fighting the waves. It’s like he belongs there. He was a good man too, always caring about his family. The crew will miss him very much, it will feel like missing a part of our body without him.”

Samuel’s parents were already deceased, and his close family consisted of his wife, Dora Jackson, and his two year old son Abel Jackson. The Jackson’s have been living at long boat bay for centuries and Dora Jackson is confused about should she sell up the place or continue living there.
On her interview she said to the reporter, “I overcome with grief over the death of Sam. He was a wonderful father to Abel, as well as a loving husband to me. It will be difficult to be a single mother, but I will do my best to raise Abel to be a man my late husband will be proud of. My only comfort is in knowing that Sam died at sea, where he felt like he belonged all his life. It is very difficult for me to raise my son by myself on a remote bay and it is very tempting for me to move to the city but I want die on this very bay and lie down beside my husband.”
