The topic is about fourteen lone star rangers who had extraordinary lives who made history in Texas. Each of these individual pioneers have a story like no other in Texas. Father Miguel Muldoon, the Irish-Spanish Catholic priest and diplomat who helped convert Protestant in order to settle Austin, a six-foot-two prostitute and hotel keep Sarah Bowman, who fought bravely as a man among the Rangers and was buried with full military honors who couldn’t read or write. She had successfully made it into business, and many historical events and remarkable stories to be told. These fourteen pioneers helped build an empire of Texas, their stories are like no other.
The author is Donald Dean Blevins, he was born May 9, 1933 and passed away in April 19, 2014. At the age of 21 he was in the United States Air Force, retiring as a master sergeant.

She was pretty tall for a women. The part I did not enjoy was a Trooper George Washington Traherne, a soldier described Sarah Bowman in inappropriate way. Sarah was a six feet, two inches in height. He said, “dark eyed with enormous breasts and an hourglass figure.” “You can imagine how talls she was… she could stand flat footed and drop those little sugar plums [nipples] right into my mouth.” From that moment, it was a bit uncomfortable.
