The video, “Satanic Verses Affair, Salman Rushdi,” and the article, “The Disappeared,” are both about Rushdie being exiled. Salman Rushdie is scared for his life after a target is put on his head. In the video, Rushdie starts to think about how much time he has left to live. He wonders if it could be as little as days (Satanic Verses Affair, Salman Rushdi). Rushdie is running around his house, terrified because there is a permanent target on his back. He must run to stay alive.
