Kids with discipline still can become complete savages. Golding's Lord of the Flies is based on a group of kids that crashed on island and are stuck there. When the kids crash it is in the middle of WWII. The kids are being shipped to a different spot so they won't be trapped in the middle of the war. Hunger Games is based on a group of kids fighting to survive. Kids are picked in groups of two and are made to fight to the death till there is only one survivor. The theme of savagery is illustrated throughout both book and film. In the Hunger Games the Government controls everything. The longer they are on the island the more savage they get.They end up killing each other and doing things for Ex: They try to kill a pig and put its head on a stick. . However in then someone finds them ,and they realize what has happened to them. Ex: The kids are chanting ¨Kill the pig! Bash its head! Kill the pig cut its throat!¨ That shows how savage it is. The conclusion is that both stories show plenty of savagery. They kill each other for survival to save themselves.. In the Hunger Games the girl drops a beehive on someone's head and in The Lord of The Flies they push Piggy off a cliff. Also in the Hunger Games the government sent dogs out to kill everyone and they tried to put the girl on fire, also in the Lord of the Flies they tries to set
