World War II is seen as one of the most memorable wars in history. This intense period was very specifically known for a sub-event known as the Holocaust. As the War was approaching, there were very high tensions between races, nationalities, and ethnicities. These tensions led to the rising of World War II as well as the massacre of millions. This true war was the basis of the story in Schindler’s List.
Entering the war, anti-semitism covered the map of Europe. Such a strong dislike, perhaps hate, was known to be focused on the Jewish party. Due to such a fall after World War I in Germany, many of the people looked for someone to blame. Accompanying his rise to power, Hitler brought his ideals and plans with him. Adolf Hitler was on a fight for purity and resolution for the Germans. Such a strong leadership resulted in very strong feelings against Jews and extreme consequences. The most prominent of the consequences being the Holocaust.
The Holocaust consisted of the genocide of millions of Jews and others such as gypsies, the disabled, and the Polish. Notorious for being one of the most disgraceful massacres in history, the Holocaust placed Jews temporarily in ghettos and later in extermination and concentration camps. These were labor camps that focused on the benefits of the German Aryan race.
Before these camps, there was a crucial part to the Holocaust. Jews were deported from their homes and placed in cramped ghettos. The ghettos were very poverty stricken and low class. This idea was meant to kill of the Jews as they suffered from such terrible living conditions.
