When I graduate from the Haskayne School of Business (HSB) I aspire to be proficient in business language and specialize in operation management, while improving my communication and public speaking skills. Dedication is an attribute that has helped me become the person I am today. I like to work hard at the tasks I am assigned and the goals I have set for myself. One of them is my ability to have the courage to talk to new people. This has negatively impacted me because it restricts the ability for me to meet new friends and acquaintances. Additionally, I can be very stubborn; therefore I need to work on the acceptance of others ideas. Although I am a very dedicated person, I can find myself setting unrealistic academic goals. This is demoralizing because even when I work hard at my studies, I am unable to achieve the results I set forth for myself. Furthermore, I need to improve my public speaking abilities. I tend to get exceptionally nervous when talking in front of large groups of people, but I think that will change with more experience. Lastly, I need to work on my sensitivity, since I often take offense to minor accusations.
