A member of the National Honor Society must demonstrate his/her commitment to academics as well as making an impact on the community surrounding them. A person who is able to successfully do both is someone who has qualities of leadership and scholarship, but also has a good character and chooses to help others without expecting anything in return. In all likelihood, I would be a good representative of the National Honor Society, because these are things I stand for and qualities I display in my daily routine. In my opinion, the most important part of living is the path you take in deciding how you want to live your life. For me, this means making integrity and kindness the key to my way of living. One of the most important qualities a member must embody is scholarship. This means demonstrating a commitment to learning. For me and many others, scholarship is something that comes naturally in a competitive environment such as school. By looking at my GPA and the grades I have in my classes, it is clear that I am committed to doing well in school. Not only am I academically ambitious when it comes to test scores and graded assignments, I have a constant desire to acquire more information about new things outside of school and at home.
