I have realized this statement to apply in my life. I truly believe my family is what pushes me to reach my goals. For example, I will be the first generation Juarez to attend a higher education, thus, I feel the need to set an admirable example for my brothers and cousins to follow. This scholarship will help my family out because we are all starting a new chapter of our lives in my household. For instance, my baby brother will be starting pre-k, along with my younger brother who will begin Junior High this fall. Thus, my parents will have to provide more supplies, equipment, and food for them. That being said, with me attending college as well, my parents will have more expenses. Therefore, this scholarship will benefit my family by helping them with all the expenses they are going to acquire. Overall, I have always strived to behave in a manner in which my parents will be proud of. My character can be described as someone who is hard working. I always give my all to everything I do, and I love meeting new people. I believe myself to be worthy of this scholarship because education is and will continue to be a very important part of my life. That being said, I will work diligently in school and outside of school to achieve my heart’s desire.
