My whole life until now was a struggle it wasn’t easy. I had to go through a lot to get where I am. Actually my whole family did.I was born in Lima, Peru to a peruvian mother and father. They were divorced by the the time I turned two years old.My father had become unemployed and it wasn’t working between them. My brother and I moved in with my grandma at this difficult time between my parents.By the time I was 6 years old my mother decided that we were never going to have a good life together in Peru and that we should move to the United States to get a better life that she felt me and my brother deserved.When I arrived in the U.S I had just turned 7 years old. From people who go to community college to a private university.A degree is a big deal to me and assistance is needed most of the time. I want to be the first person in my family to receive a scholarship.Being the first generation of my family to go to college in the United States it’s a big deal. It’s a helping hand to me and all the students that need some financial help. I would love to get this scholarship for some more financial help. With my financial assistance I can spend less time worrying about money problems and put all of my focus and energy on my schoolwork. I also have a job and some of that money goes to college bills, with scholarship help I can cut my hours at work and take that time to the hit the books which is my first priority as a college student.
