Science and Religion Science and religion have been believed to contradict each other since the dawn of mankind. Since the beginning there have always been heavy debates pointing out the flaws of the two. Many individuals in both fields of religion, and fields of science have contradicting and opposing views regarding this matter. The main battles consist of the story of creation, and the scientific process of evolution. Science and Religion are needed to understand each other and are both vital to society by helping us to further understand life, how we got here, and what we need to survive. Though there is much regarding creation that has yet to be explained, there is a lot of information that we do know, much of which that can be scientifically explained, and some of which that cannot. If one solely depended on the belief of divinity, the scientific elements that we do know may no longer make sense. The same goes for the divine elements. Some of the most educated people of humankind have subscribed to the idea that science and religion coexist together. Knowing this, it would be merely silly to dispute the teachings and beliefs that world class scholars have developed. In all truthfulness, by accepting both science and religion, it can only bring us closer to understanding creation itself. For those who are unable or unwilling to accept both, it will only draw them farther away to the truth which they will never be able to obtain. The bible has many allegorical references, and these references are just pieces of wisdom and help us learn how to best live our lives. Just because the bible has mythical elements, does not mean that that are not true, but they are all not literally true, they are morally true. With a being as intelligent and spontaneous as God, we as humans do not have the capacity to comprehend whether or not evolution was a tool. Maybe it was, maybe it was not. However, in order to better understand our own point of origin, we all must work together by accepting each others viewpoints and beliefs, because no success will ever be found through looking at this as a one-subject
