Abstract
My goal was to find out if temperature affects the strength of a magnet. If the strength of the magnet either has more effect either in the pot of boiling water or in the bowl of ice, which ever magnet gets the less paper clips attached to it will have the greatest effect.

Background
A magnet is a material or object that produces a magnetic field. This magnetic field is invisible but is responsible for the most notable property of a magnet: a force that pulls on other ferromagnetic materials, such as iron, and attracts or repels other magnets.

Materials/Procedures
My Materials were a plastic bowl, …show more content…

Next, I put the water to boil and started putting a magnet in each container and pot, i left one magnet in room temperature.
After, I got a plastic bowl and put 50 paper clips in it. Then, after 10 minutes had past I took each magnet out from each obstacle and put each magnet in the plastic bowl(full of paper clips)for 2 seconds. Finally, I counted how many paper clips each magnet had for each trial. (4 trials)

Hypothesis
My guess of what might happen is that the magnet that is going to be in the pot of boiling water is gonna have the greatest affect on because heat is a lot stronger and does much more damage to anything than the …show more content…

This magnetic field is invisible but is responsible for the most notable property of a magnet: a force that pulls on other ferromagnetic materials, such as iron, and attracts or repels other magnets.

Materials/Procedures
My Materials were a plastic bowl, standard #1 paper clips, containers to hold ice and dry ice, small pot for boiling water, thermometer, and 2 magnets. My methods were that first I got the pot and the plastic containers.
Second, I put water into the pot, and ice and dry ice into the plastic containers. Next, I put the water to boil and started putting a magnet in each container and pot, i left one magnet in room temperature.
