Be cautious when performing this experiment as water may spill on the floor, slip and injure yourself badly. Check the floor surface area for any puddles of water and wipe down with as many dry paper towels needed. Take care when handling with equipment that is made out of plastic or glass because when dropped, the glass or plastic may shatter into pieces which can be very dangerous. If needed, ask a responsible adult to help out in the experiment to avoid injuries.

The investigation can be extended by using more brands of paper towels such as; Quilton, Sorbent or Confidence. Also, the paper towels are Australia-branded, a suggestion is that this experiment is be repeated with paper towels from other countries like America so that a more specific and accurate conclusion can be made. Bounty is stated to be “America’s most absorbent paper towel” brand.
The experiment can be improved by performing the experiment in an area which has better lighting so that measurements can be more accurate, the paper towel could be removed on time by keeping an eye on the stopwatch, using different types of paper towels such as; brown paper towels, paper towels made from different types of wood or recycled paper towels, the investigation can also improve by doing the same experiment but in other ways, for example, folding the paper towel multiple times then placing the towel in a beaker with water, then squeezing out the water soaked in the paper towel in another
