Overall, the book is a great read, even for those who do not enjoy
I did not have many complaints. Even though, at times, I may have felt there was information or conversations that were not entirely needed, it did add more depth to the book and allowed the reader to see more into each individual
This review didn’t showcase any of the negative and weak points in the story. This makes the review seem very biased and unbelievable. Every book has at least one downfall and by not including a counterargument in their review gives off the impression that they may have been paid to put this book in a good light. I wouldn’t buy the book based off of this review
"Cherie Dimaline's captivating tale, "The Bead Fairy," illuminates the challenges faced by children who, in the eyes of their peers, may be perceived as "different" or "strange," highlighting the hardships of childhood for those who stand out. In this story, the voice of the quiet and observant protagonist takes center stage, shedding light on the experiences of an outcast and the profound hardships faced when one does not fit into the conventional mold. To begin, the narrator reveals her blossoming crush on Hugh McIvoy, a fellow classmate who stands out as one of the few white students in a racially diverse school. Captivated by his presence, she places him on a pedestal, holding him to an almost unattainable standard of perfection, stating
This is one of those books that deserve to be on any teenager’s shelf. I would firmly recommend this book to any tween or teen who has trouble fitting in. Rodman Philbrick has outdone himself in writing his first children’s book. If you say that this book is horrible or bad, either you didn’t read it closely or you have a different taste of books than

This book was interesting for me because it allowed me to relate to a character. I love reading novels that not only allow me to feel a connection with a character, but allow me to relate to their personality or
The downside I found in this book is the language. Characters are seen to express themselves in vulgar words. Secondly, this book contains sexual scenes. These two automatically reduces audience. With that in mind, I would not recommend this book to children or a minor, but to some adults who are not bound by restrictions to reading some of the issues I have
