Tallgrass takes place during WWII in a small farming community, but everything starts to change when the government opens a work camp in Ellis. Not only does the arrival of Japanese people stir up the town but the murder of Susan Reddick leads everyone in Ellis to believe that a Japanese worker is responsible. The second book I will be talking about is The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks. In The Wedding a couple has found themselves not in love with each other anymore after being married for thirty year. Wilson has found himself regretting not spending time at home, not being a good husband and, not showing his love for his wife Jane. After realized she wasn’t in love with her husband anymore I think Jane was at a crossroads. She could have decided to figure out her life without her husband or try and restore her marriage that didn’t have much meaning anymore. After a long marriage jane was very heart by the person who was suppose to care about her the most. “Did you really forget your anniversary?” (Sparks 18). After Wilson showed how much he loves his wife by planning the wedding I think Janes mind was cleared. I think she realized why she married Wilson and fell in love with him again. As I read Tallgrass and the Wedding I could see many examples of love, truth, and identity. I think that Rennie was a good example of what finding truth means and I think Wilson showed what it means to look for love in an unusual way. Lastly I think Jane is a good example of someone searching for their identity because after a long marriage I think it would be difficult to decide what to do in a situation like
