Hidden Figures is a movie that talks about race segregation on African-American. People at that time were racist and discriminated against black people. The three main character, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, are talented; however, they are black. Segregation between race made the three women felt ashamed and discrimination made them couldn’t fully use their talent. Because of they are black, majority of the NASA people don’t trust them; however, nobody can solve the problem, but them. Therefore, people started to accept the black and discrimination started to end.

At first, nobody believe Katherine in her department and people only give her useless job. Later, the leader started to realize her talent. However, the rest of the people were disrespectful to her too. Finally, her talent proves to everyone that she is smart no matter what skin color she is, and people started to accept them. So do the other two characters.
The movie was historically accurate. It perfectly depicted the role of African American during the 1960s. Back to that time, people who were white thought they were more superior and discriminated against the black. For example, they have different eater foundation, one is mark “white” and one is mark “colored” for anyone that is not white. Furthermore, they also have bathroom marked too.
I have learned that a lot of people back at the time of 1960 is very racists. Even though one is talented, if he/she is black, he/she can't fully use one's talent to achieve the society. This doesn’t only unbenefitical to oneself, but also the society. Discrimination makes one nation less civilized, nd stop the society to
