In Snoop 's book, his view of self identity is very simple and cut dry. The most important discovery that a person can find is that of their own self. It is the common struggle of being a human being, a person of this world. We go to great lenghths to figure out just who we are to be in this life and who are we to be to the world around us. Many of the people today go their entire life until they finally find who they are and what they feel is their purpose. In Snoop 's book, it is constracted as an inner story of the self. It is then basically brokent down into three parts a "reconstructed past, previeved present, and anticipated future to provide a life with unity,purpose, and meaning" (Snoop,2008).
