There were a few things that I could have worked on from the start. There are many areas in which my success profiler said that I needed to improve on. On area of the field would be the fact oh me doing more extra things for JROTC. I also think that I have tried to improve on this with helping
I kindly asked the class to work thoroughly and explained how the assessment gave me an opportunity to evaluate their skills and guide my curriculum. Shortly after my
. Describe the growth and developmental tasks that were displayed by the child you interacted with in this setting (Erikson, Piaget and Freud). Were these tasks age appropriate? Did you assess any developmental challenges in the client that you interacted with? How were they dealt with (by you and by the health care team)?
My biggest expectation going into the internship at DFCS was that I would learn more about the social work/social services field and confirm that social work was truly what I wanted to spend my life doing as a career. I also expected to confirm my thought that DFCS was a place I would enjoy working and could see myself working in the future after graduate school. This internship met my personal expectations, however it happened in a way much differently than I expected. While the internship experience did confirm that I love social work and the social services field, it showed me that DFCS is not the agency that I want to work with as a career. I stand behind DFCS 100%; however, I don’t think I could work with DFCS long term.
I remember going home feeling like I accomplished my goal. At my first employment we would do work performance assessments every three months. During an
Reflection: Friday Night Lights 1) What were you/your group responsible for in the preparation of Friday Night Lights? My group and I were responsible for the creation of posters and banners to be put up around the school. We spent most of the class time thinking of ways to advertise Friday Night Lights to the public; for instance, we decided to put together two different posters — one for field hockey and the other for football.
The goals were a combination of client, student, and agency centered goals. I feel that all my goals were reached. Although, while doing the wide range activities, I didn’t think about checking off the completion of each one. I just did what I was instructed to do, and I received satisfaction from the belief that I was helping, not be completing a
After we discusses how the classroom situation affected him ,I then asked what tactics did he use to differentiation himself from others while growing up? He explained how he always kept a positive attitude and stayed away from negative distractions. He witnessed people dying every day in my community and strung out on drugs. These tragedies got to be inspiration for him to stay in the books and concentrated on playing basketball. We discussed what he felt like his position he feels like he hold in society.
After completing this activity, Vanessa was able to explain why it is important to fill out forms similar to the Voucher Check Request Form to their entirety and teach me the process for providing the needs of clients within the DSS agency. Another activity I had the opportunity of completing was sorting case files in the file room. Although this was an activity I repeated several times in the Fall 2016 semester, I noticed the difference in how both agencies handled their caseloads and the clients they serve. Completing this activity helped in improving my competency skill 3. This skill requires social workers to be able to Analyze models of assessment, prevention, intervention, and evaluation utilizes appropriate definitions and terminology.
I was able to work with a couple of the children, which opened my eyes to the different children I will be helping, even though they all are experiencing homelessness. I worked with kids who are experiencing difficulties meeting grade level requirement, which I hope to make a difference at the end of my intern. This week I hope to get a better understanding on how I could help this student before they fall back any further. In hopes to help this student make it to the next grade, I will be asking my site supervisor advice on how I could make it possible. I believe this would be one of my goals before the end of the
One of the most important actions that a student can take, is to be honest, and self-reflective, about the level of understanding achieved after completing any course within his/her education career. From my personal view, I feel that this class provided me with a great introduction to the MHA program, and is setting me up for successful in this educational program; but with that being said I would not pretend that I was able to assimilate every concept that was presented in this course, I would definitely need to continue to review the material in this course and on the MHA program overall, so that I could be a knowledgeable, and effective Health Care Manager. When it comes to my ability to discuss the different learning outcomes, I have to say that I definitely acquired a much deeper understanding of the material presented in this course. The materials were not difficult concepts to understand, but sometimes the way the material was delivered made it a difficult task just to read through the information, but as I would imagine, we are trying to achieve an education at a much higher level, which requires the processing and understanding of much more complex information, that sometimes will be
I believe that my experience as an NP has a significant influence on my role transition as NP. I always valued my role as a patient advocate as RN I was the last defense line to protect my patients. Now as future NP I can maximize that role. Since I have more authority to influence my patient care.
First, I was nervous to be the social worker because I wasn’t sure how well I would do. Additionally, I felt like my group member’s grades relied heavily on how well I did/ did not do. Also during the process recording, I was nervous because I was never thinking about the skills I was using. Luckily, I used more skills then I need. However, the whole process was nerve-wrecking.
Self-Evaluation of Master of Health Care Administration degree The assignment of self-evaluation as it relates to the achievement of Master of Health Care Administration degree is difficult to put into scholarly texture. Defining the journey leading to this degree pursuit can be long winded and more of a documentation of key cornerstones in life. This leading to the desire to service in an advanced role of health care policy and leadership that this advance degree allows. The personal exposure in this project is acceptable as this is a journey of service driven purpose.
I also like how the both of us came up with questions that were not pre made and that we genuinely wanted to help our family. We came in thinking and preparing for the family need additional services and once they did not present that we rolled with what we had. This role play felt real and made me feel more comfortable then the last one. The activity we gave the young boy was great but I do believe that we could have come up with better thought provoking questions for him to answer when he returned to the session. I think with more time we could have dig deeper to the root of the young boy issues.
