Introduction. Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803- 1882) an American lecturer, philosopher, lecturer, essayist and poet quotes “envy is ignorance, imitation is suicide” (Daniel, 2018) and Martin Luther King (1929-1968) an American activist, spokesperson, leader of civil rights movement 1954-1968 and Baptist Minister quotes “Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity” (INSIGHT ASSESSMENT, 2018). In hindsight, many people including myself have to or have had to consistently challenge the conflict of ignorance that comes about into their life through avenues of envy, hatred, cultural moral practice and perceptions, lack of knowledge, lack of individualism and negative influences within society. For example; I have experienced racial discrimination and the undermining of my intelligence within college and higher education institutions and verbal violent communications, in the work place I have experienced an undermining of my intelligence and been public ally humiliated and violently dealt with for doing my job better than the head staff member, I have had family members want to physically attack me just because I am studying and making new positive new friends with a comment of ‘you’re a failure, I don’t like you and you’ll never amount to anything in life”; I have been violently sworn at for the colour of my skin on the street where I used to attend secondary school, In personal relations I have been abusively spoken to handled, mis-judged, misrepresented, mocked, disrespected and told ‘you’re stupid, ugly, and racially discriminated against just because I am me and have a mixture of friends from different …show more content…
