The day Renita Smith became a hero began like all others. She hopped in her school bus and started her route. It wasn 't until after her third stop that things went awry. This was when she noticed that her bus had caught on fire.
That 's when the mother of 2 's instincts kicked in. After hurrying all the kids off the bus, she ran back through the flames to make sure no one was left behind. Luckily, everyone was safe and sound and no injuries were reported.
