The Seven Principles of the United States Constitution The constructors of the United States Constitution created a national government, central laws, and certain rights for citizens. To the Constitution they added the Seven Principles of the constitution which produced a substantiate for the constructors ideas. The seven principles included popular sovereignty, limited government, separation of powers, checks and balances, individual rights, federalism, and republicanism. Together the principles were the foundation of the United States Constitution. Popular sovereignty is the form of government where the people of United States should be the authority and the people make most decisions through a representative. Limited government is where
