Grace Kelly How cool would it be to be a successful actress and performer and then marrying a prince of your dreams? Not only does this sound like a Cinderella story, but Grace Kelly’s story. Grace Kelly had followed her childhood dreams into becoming a well known actress and princess that many people still know of today. Going further into Grace’s life, you will learn about her background, career, death, and legacy. Grace Kelly was born on November 12, 1929. She had two older siblings, Margaret and Elizabeth, and they all lived in Pennsylvania. Grace’s father, John Kelly had won 3 olympic gold medals for sculling and he owned a successful brickwork contracting company. She got an interview with the administration officer and she was admitted. Grace’s acting led her to the stage, most remarkably in a Broadway debut called The Father. She graduated at age 19 and she had a graduation performance in The Philadelphia Story. She later got the opportunity to be on a television show, being premiered on almost 60 live programs. Seeming as though television wasn’t enough, she later got starred in movies including the following: High Noon, Fourteen Hours, High Society, The swan, The Country Girl, and 7 others. Because of this, she lost control of her car and drove off a steep road, down a 120ft. mountainside. Her daughter, Stephanie, was in the car with her and was trying to regain control of the vehicle, but it was no use. As paramedics came to the crash site, both Grace and Stephanie were alive, but had quite the injuries. Grace had so many injuries on her brain, her thorax, and a fractured femur that the doctors couldn’t do much of anything to try and save her life. She had died the following night, at age 52. On the other side, Stephanie had a hairline fracture, but she lived. But due to her injuries, she couldn’t attend her mother’s funeral. Grace’s funeral was held on September 18, 1982 at the Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Monaco. Over 400 people were there.
