About the Author: My name is Adalard Mirop, I’m a 28 year old Nazi guard from Germany that is against Hitler’s beliefs. I’m just playing the role as a guard to protect myself. I had to take part in these heart-breaking actions, so I decided to share my thoughts and I took the risk of being killed. Darkness surrounds Auschwitz in 1942 as kids cry, dogs bark, and Germans yell orders. Kids wail as they are dragged to gas chambers. Screams can be heard from miles, as fireworks can be heard from another city. It was the start of a horror movie, Jewish people were afraid and didn’t know how to react. It was the beginning of child labor. Yesterday Nazi’s came to Auschwitz unexpectedly and started pulling families apart. Nobody had any idea what was happening at that time. Jews were being separated from their families. German authorities were taking healthy Jews and putting them into big trucks to be taken to an unknown place. The leftover Jews that were sick and disabled were put another truck to be shot and killed. Any twins were taken to laboratories to be experimented on.
