CHAPTER TWO The evening passed by and still no word from Anthony. She always let Angel pick out what movie they would watch, and what they would eat for dinner, and then later they would pop some corn, spread their sleeping bags out on the living room floor and pretend they were having a slumber party.

Lily was a young white girl living in a household of coloured women who did various things that she did not understand. Some of the undeserved punishments Sula and Nel are facing together, for example, the attacks from a group of Irish boys who are harassing African American school children in Medallion. These attacks make the girls aware of their uneasy position in the society but Sula and Nel need to learn how to protect themselves on their own. For this assignment, I chose to do a compare and contrast paper based on the two short stories I 've selected, “The Jewelry” and “Hills Like White Elephants”. The two stories share some similarities as well as being complete opposites when it comes to certain matters. First off here 's a short summary for “The Jewelry”. The story is about the main character, Mr. Lantin, is a widower who reminisce about the times he had with his late wife who passed away due to pneumonia. Due to being unable to live comfortably and being in debt, Mr. Lantin has no other choice but to sell his wife 's jewelry.
Michael is currently a sixth grade student at Northeast Middle School. He is identified with having a disability of Autism, Other Health Impairments (ADHD and anxiety), Gifted and newly identified with Speech and Language Impairment. Michael is in an itinerant learning support setting and has the learning support teacher in all academic class periods. He receives gifted support three times in a six day-cycle with Ms. Shook. Michael is attending academic support twice in a six day-cycle to assist him with assignments, assessments, organization and to work on his academic skills.
