Should assisted suicide be legal? Is it morally acceptable to choose to die in a fashion filled with dignity, or is it better to let your body, soul, and spirit be eaten away by the disease within you? If you were filled with a disease that you knew for sure was going to kill you, and there was nothing you could do about it, no amount of medicine could cure you, what decision would you make? I am not sure myself, which decision I would make. There are a lot of patients that are in pain physically and mentally that just want to go home. They are tired and do not want to wait anymore. I do agree that assisted suicide should be allowed all over the world.
“My glioblastoma is going to kill me, and that's out of my control. I've discussed with many experts how I would die from it, and it's a terrible, terrible way to die. Being able to choose to go with dignity is less terrifying...” this was a statement by a woman who was able to choose her own date of death. She wanted to die with dignity, and was giving that chance. For reasons like this one, I believe we should legalize assisted suicide. I cannot stand to see anyone in pain. It breaks my heart.

Those that oppose assisted suicide say that it is morally wrong and we do not value life the way we should. There will be a misuse of assisted death. They believe there will be no control over the issue. This is considered a form of active killing and we need assistance in dying that will protect dignity, mitigate fear, and hospice
