Beanies, ball caps, fedoras, sun hats, and top hats are just a few of the many shaped coverings for the head that are worn for warmth, fashion, or as part of a uniform. As with anything, some people love hats and some people can’t stand them, and other people only wear them under certain circumstances. That statement is demonstrated with a survey taken at Skagit Valley Campus regarding hats and peoples’ personal opinions on them. The survey covers pro and anti hat opinions, seasons and situations in which people will wear hats, and a couple other statistics involving hats. One hundred students were asked some questions concerning hats. The survey revealed “87.5% of Skagit Valley College (SVC in future) students wear hats in some form or location.” (Hats Survey. They are caps that are soft and have a rounded bill that is protruding from the front, these are commonly one of the most worn hats. There are many benefits to wearing hats, this can be good for helping cover up a bad hair day, keeping the sun out of someone’s eyes, keeping moisture within the hair. Baseball hats are also a good, stylish way to show support for a favorite sports team. Leading to the second point made within the survey which was that “25% said they'd wear anything if it had the Seahawks logo on it” (Hats Survey. SVC in future, 2016.) Baseball caps almost always have a team logo on them for more than just “Baseball teams” these hats have every sport and level of sports there are. It’s not a surprise that a quarter of the students said that they would wear any kind of hat with a Seahawks logo on it.
