The driving age shouldn’t be changed to 21 because it’s unfair and inconvenient . The driving age you should be allowed to drive at is 16 since that is this age right now that we can start driving . It’s not fair to the kids that are learning how to drive right now. My 18 year old cousin would get his driver's license taken because he is not 21 and wouldn’t be able to drive since he would be considerd under age driving. Some kids are learning how to drive right now because they are old enough since the age right know to be able to drive is 16.
Proving that age has nothing to do with drinking and that it should be lower to age eighteen because people regardless of age will be mature and responsible and some that are not. Instead, the government should make a law requiring all car companies to install an alcohol breath detector. If the breath detector smell alcohol that person whether young adult or not can’t drive the car. College students want the drinking age to be lower to age 18 or at least 19.
Also, lowering the drinking age will cause more car accidents and other types of accidents with younger teenagers. Teenagers will get into cars with their friends to go places, and this can end up badly if the driver has been drinking. Some teenagers can not drive so if they get into cars with their 18-year-old friends who can drink, car accidents are bound to happen. Not many 15-16-year-olds are friends with 21+-year-olds, so this is not as big of a problem currently. Drinking and hanging out with friends who are only a couple years older causes even younger teenagers to drink, which is why the drinking age should not be
Should the Driving Age Be Raised to 18? I take the position that the driving age should not be raised to 18. Many people believe that 16 year olds are too young to drive. However, many 16 to 17 year olds and their families disagree. Teens enjoy their freedom, and not all teens are stereotypically “wild” or “out of hand” on the road.
Now people are think about raising the driving age to 18, but that won’t help. Raising the driving age just because of idiotic decisions made by teens. They should enforce the laws and making them stricter and safer. First of all, the real threat to the driver is the temptations and distractions that happen in the vehicle. Karen Sternheimer says, "The intense focus on teens diverts our attention from the real threats to public safety: speeding and driving while intoxicated" (CBS).
Keep the Age 18 There is a debate going on these days, it's about lowering the voting age to sixteen. In my personal opinion I dont think sixteen year olds should be allowed to vote, due to the fact that at sixteen you can't do much for their country. Another reason is there really wont be alot of participation. My last reason for saying sixteen year olds should not be allowed to vote is because, at a minors age you can't even take care of yourself. To explain my first reason of not wanting the voting age to be lowered, sixteen year olds can't do much for their country.
Increase the Driving Age If you reach 18 age old means you can vote so it means you should be able to drive as an adult because if they say voting is only for adult means from 18 years older should start driving them self. Also think 16 years old should be legal to drive because it’s, depends on your attitude like if you thinking of drinking alcohol then you should definitely reach 18 before you start driving because, 16 years is too young to drive. Ok lets say from 18 years older should be driving because they know there right from wrong and they are all adult and responsible for anything happen to them.
Not to mention, many of the elders stating that the driving age should be increased started driving very early in life because of how they were raised. They helped on the farm and drove cars from an early age. Driving age should not be increased to twenty-one because a vast majority of people are going to college or have entered the work force at this age, they are legal adults by age eighteen, the current process of acquiring a license suits sixteen-year-olds best, the government should focus more on education, and teens can work as early as age fifteen and need transportation. First, almost all twenty-one-year-olds have entered the work force or are in higher education.
If you raise the driving age limit, many of these teens would lose there jobs by being unable to arrive to work. When teens have careers they gain responsibility and money. Why would we want to rob them of these opportunities? These teenagers are contributing to society just as much as any adult currently is. If we raise the driving age, we would loose thousands of hard working young men and women.
I think the driving age should stay at the age of 16 because as you get older you have more experience driving. Every thing goes best when you start young because of all the practice you've had over the years. starting at 16 can can lead some teens to good cares like: NAS car, or driving for movies. I think the age of 16 is a good place to start, because its like they say know more about the job before the interview, so that way you have a better chance of getting the job. Safety still is a problem because 16 year olds are reckless as well so its a bigger chance that more people could be in danger young teens that are behind the wheel going fast and doing what ever else they do when there alone trying to be cool for who ever.
Driving at 16 allows parents to oversee young drivers before they are legally independent adults. Lawmakers may think by raising the minimum driving age that they can minimize accidents, but in actuality, they are depriving teens the chance to learn under adult supervision. If the driving age were raised to 18, kids would be out on their own and learning to drive on their own. At 16, teens are still covered by their parents ' insurance driving closer to home, which offers more support should they get in an accident. Before teens leave home, parents can be sure they have a solid driving history that they can be comfortable with while gaining valuable experience.
As I think raising the driving age to 18 is a benefit with less harm.while not raising it will harm lives.therefore,it should be discussed. Futhermore, traffic accidents is affecting the lives of the future generation. I think raising the driving age to 18 plays a part in preventing massive car crashes. As its being found that the underage drivers are more likely to go into car accidents than adults ' 'Those who favor raising the driving age say that statistics show teenagers are more likely to get into accidents than adults ' '.(Palicz).I assume if we raise driving age to 18 such incidents will decrease. I also believe adults are more prepared for driving than underage
Because of safety concerns, many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive. Teens need to have their own experiences. Driving at sixteen is a great way for teens to indulge in experiences and start a more independent life. The driving age should not be raised because driving gives one freedom, driving allows teens to work, and driving teaches responsibility.
“Only the good die young,” is an aphorism that most have heard, but why is it that the leading cause of death in young people is vehicle accidents? The fact of the matter is that teens, for many reasons, are involved in more fatal crashes than any other age group. Teen driver safety, or the lack thereof, is very problematic in the state of Missouri; teens die senselessly every day due to this problem, and most cases could be prevented if people simply became more knowledgeable. There is a staggering amount of teen deaths every year in Missouri, and the leading cause is car crashes. There are eight broad categories that attribute to this factoid.
Most teenagers think that being able to control the car while speeding means that they drive well. Increasing the driving age will significantly condense car accidents. While some people say teenagers can develop independence, the driving age should be raised to 21 because the level of obesity is high, teenagers are immature, and car accidents are increasing rapidly. Firstly, teenagers are the ones who are most likely to act in such reckless and
