Ernie Barnes Introduction Ernie Barnes is a monumental person in history for all of his brilliant and creative paintings. He helped boost the African American world by painting with confidence and creativity. In the nineteenth century to the twentieth century he introduced his style of painting to the world, he had to overcome obstacles to get this far like racism and segregation. Barnes also had to work through poverty when he was younger but he still is one of the best African American painters in the world.
