Should footballers be paid that much money? Although professional footballers are considered hard workers who endured a lot of pain and hardship to get to where they are, it is still not a justification for them being paid huge amounts of money as there are other jobs that benefit the society, with more working hours, more exposure to danger and are paid significantly less than professional footballers. So are football players paid too much? or is it that, skill isn’t related at all to salaries? Did you know that firefighters could work for up to forty-eight hour shifts plus hey visit scenes of trauma and horrific accidents causing some of them to suffer from emotional exhaustion while their salaries are insignificantly low, On the other hand compared to musicians and actors footballers get paid a significant amount less, but how come no one seems to be on their case? The reason for this is simply because football is a national sport and people choose to pick on this. It’s a statistical fact that Robert Downing JR got paid 35 million dollars for the movie “Avengers” but people choose to ignore this. The better the team means the higher the salary, which is unjust because skilled players might be working exceptionally hard and it just does not occur that they get an offer from a renowned club in addition to that there are reserve players who still get paid high salaries even though they are not putting in any effort. To conclude, Footballers deserve money. They get paid more than doctors and teachers because the clubs that pay their wages are not public corporations and they are 'for-profit' organizations in principal although some do make big losses. A doctor's wages comes out of my small NI contributions but A football player's wages comes out of the deep pockets
