Should High School Athletes Receive Better Nutrients
s.Allowing athletes to receiving better nutrients due to the amount of time spent on the field, The daily risk they go through,and the students athletes have to maintain a certain grade average to continue in sports , but one reason they should not be recieve better nutrients is because they're no different from other students. One reason why High school athletes should receive better nutrients is the amount of hours college athletes spend on sports-related tasks. College athletes spend a minimum of 20 hours a week at practice. After class athletes spend as much as 5 hours on the field. When the athlete is no longer able to play they lose their scholarship .Without a way to pay for college they are to return home and are unable to complete their major. "Football Injuries." shows the injuries of statics of each possible injury.These allow you to see the types of injuries that a college athlete will go through.
Ligament sprains are the most common injury reported, accounting for more than 30 percent of all injuries. With the lateral ligaments of the ankle and medial collateral ligaments of the knee most commonly affected. After a player is injured he/she will not be able to return to school for weeks. If the injury is severe the College has the right to strip away the athlete’s education. This will make a college student less likely to survive outside of a sports career. Many college athletics are run as businesses. Colleges are making millions of dollars a year and are not even paying their workers, the athletes. The hard work and dedication not only makes money for the school it also gets the school's name out to the public. When schools athletics are playing well and are nationally televised, more people are aware of the school this will help an increase of applications and other people’s interest in the school
