Athletes are known to take performance enhancing drugs since far back in the 776 BC at the original olimpic games from the ancient Greeks period. At that time it was perfectly legal to consume nutrients in which nowadays we would consider cheating. The athletes would compete for huge amouts of money, and for that they would eat fresh animal heart and testicles in search for strengthening hormones.
