Having access to a cafeteria would limit the amount of students that leave campus for lunch. Students are known to leave
This statement speaks nothing but the truth. It may be hard to believe that our first world high technology advanced country is dealing with this problem because it is not something we may not be accustomed or adapted to. But estimated by The Agriculture Department, twelve million children were hungry or at the risk of going hungry. The majority of children depend on their daily school meals to be what provides them with their daily needs of nutrition and something to fill that emptiness in their stomachs. But what happens when children hit summer break?
This could slowly transition students off cafeteria food and not shock them with a wave of options. Eventually, maybe after years of only being able to eat outside or in the cafeteria, schools could allow students to be bused off campus once or twice a week with strict rules of behavior and tardiness. Once students are adjusted to the choice of being able to ride a bus to local businesses, let them drive themselves. Yes, this is a scary thing to say to some teachers and administrators, but students will be conditioned after the previous years of weaning the responsibilities onto the students. There would be strict disciplinary actions for people who do not follow the rules set in
George and Mary just may have a case. Their strongest legal argument is, the proof proper nutrition is required for the best function of human beings. The National School Lunch Act USC 1751, et. Seq.(2010).
Or even find a source of guidance to even cure this condemning issue. Not a lot of kids have the chance to eat for free or pick what they want to eat . At any certain time during day or night. Only about “fifteen million students get free or cut-rate lunches at school”. That’s why welfare has been a benefactor in many situations as for kids to starve and be able

During lunchtime, students generally make their way through the crowded cafeteria to sit with their friends, and enjoy their lunch while being supervised; however, many schools are now authorizing students to have an open campus lunchtime. An open campus allows students to leave school campus unsupervised to have lunch or hang out at a local restaurant or business. Having an open campus is beneficial because it allows students to gain independence, responsibility, trust, the health of students, socialize with friends, and help increase business at local restaurants. Therefore, I believe Arapahoe should continue to have an open campus for the benefit of our students. Having an open campus allows students to leave the school grounds to have lunch outside and be able to socialize with their peers.
People believe that there is a lack of discipline and that kids have too much free time, and that open campus just simply will not help kids achieve the best education possible, but not allowing open campus could also make students feel claustrophobic/stressed out (Saslow). Students could be going home and committing bad
Open campus at lunch time is a huge advantage for high school students, and is a great punishment as well. The student's responsibility to come back to school on time will have consequences if students don't follow it. This will help them realize that the word is run by rules and if people don't follow them, there will always have consequences. Students will be gaining responsibility for collage and the real world after that. To succeed in life people need independence, maturity, and responsibility.
On the other hand some people think the schools need to change up the menus. They think that the current school lunches is why we have so many obese kids right now. This is not the case because the children who are obese is not only because of the food they are eating it's because they do not get enough exercise. Changing the school lunches overall would not be beneficial because the food they are eating is not the biggest part of why they are obese.
School could get out earlier if there wasn 't an extra period saved for lunch. Schools could even get an extra period to put in the day for an extra class or just more time to add onto the classes that are already going on in school. Kids would also be healthier if they did not eat the lunch from school because you never know how much fat, grease, and unhealthy ingredients are in school lunches. Even though school lunches make a lot of students not feel good, it could be a good idea to have lunch so they get energy and are not hungry throughout the day.
The number of shootings that have happened lately on college campuses is frightening. Colleges should go to the extreme to keep campus safe. According to Russia Today 's website, there have been 52 campus shooting in the year 2015 in the US. If this continues, the shootings will increase and more students will die. Campus officials and other staff should work hand in hand with the government system, so they can strengthen security on campuses.
Studies show that overweight students tend to have more problems with learning and paying attention (Miura). Many parents also fear that children would have the chance to skip school of get into drugs and alcohol while they are loose for their lunch break. People of the communities have also expressed their fears of increased traffic and increased risk of traffic collisions (?9 Primary Pros and Cons of Open Campus Lunch?). Not only can open lunches cause health problems, but they can lead to other dangers such as a car crash or
Imagine your school cafeteria plans to change to a new healthier school lunch menu, which would eliminate some of the students favorite cafeteria foods. Although people think that changing the lunch menu to a healthier menu is a good thing, however this is not true. The food might be healthier but what difference does it make if no one's eating it. Think about it, most students would stop eating, the school makes money off of lunch, and it helps keep parents' happy, sounds pretty good to me. I speak for most kids when I say don't change the lunch menu.
In a result of this many people, health officials, and parents are complaining because there has been an increase of child obesity. Children grow up learning healthy eating habits and how to make smart food choices which will continue to follow them as they get older. On the other hand, children growing up with
