Should Sponsorships Be Allowed In Schools

Corporate sponsorships are a way for schools to gain income without having to do an absurd amount of work. Parents either see these sponsorships as a way of obtaining the needed money for the school or as a distraction to their child’s learning. Schools will always have a need for money as new resources are available. There is no evidence that shows that children in a school with sponsorships have an affected learning ability. It can actually help to improve their learning ability by allowing schools to buy new tools that allow students to absorb knowledge better. With these tools, teachers are better suited to teach children with equipment such as chromebooks or projectors. This allows children to observe what is actually happening rather than only hearing about it from a teacher.
Sponsorships are a win-win for both sides of the deal. It allows money to come into the school systems while giving advertising to a business that needs clients. This would be correct if the advertisements were placed inside the classrooms, but they are not. Advertisements for sponsorships are placed in hallways, gyms, or outside fields. There is no way that this would affect a child’s learning because it is not in a place that they are learning. Advertisements are placed in areas in which parents will be able to see them. It allows the companies to reach the parents, who are the audience they are looking for. Parents are the ones who will spend the money so companies want to place their advertisements where they will be seen. This is not in a classroom because parents only go in there a couple times of year for meetings. This would not be a smart decision for the companies. The advertisements are not affecting the children, but are still able to make their school
