Contrary to the belief that fleeces and hoodies being banned is good for the school. Banning fleeces and hoodies just made people feel like they have less freedom in picking what they wear to school each day. So I believe if we brought back fleeces and hoodies the uniform will improve. One thing shows that hoodies were a pretty popular accessory worn by students on school days.
Have you ever walked down the hall with a hat on, maybe when you were younger, and heard someone yell at you, hats off. Well this is heard at Amboy Middle school everyday and towards many many people. The reason for this is the people style or look, lots of people like to wear hats as part of their outfit. Including myself I like to wear hats. Although there are people that do not want you wearing hats or hoods in the building of our school.
Students and staff of Scape Goat Hill High speak out about the ongoing dress code violation epidemic that has been plaguing the learning environment of the school. According to on-site witnesses, the school’s hallways have become flooded by a constant flow of shamed students who have been evicted from their classrooms by staff members for violating the school’s strict dress code policy. The school’s records confirm that roughly 87% of the year’s convicted students were male.
Dress code is a set of rules on how you dress for something or somewhere. It should be changed for something more realistic and attainable. More specifically, the dress code is used as a way to dress "in the right way" with its rules. Sometimes these rules go too far like not wearing short above the knee or no shorts at all even though the temperature outside is high. In other ways, the school dress code should be changed because it puts too much pressure on the students.
I agree with these students and I wouldn’t want to be forced to wear a uniform either. To begin, parents don’t want to pay the extra money for a school uniform. It’s extremely expensive and the student 's parents have to buy even more appliances on top of that. Let’s weigh the pros and cons of school uniforms states, “The cost of uniforms is prohibitive, especially when a family includes more than one school-aged child.”
When people where comfortable clothing, they tend to perform worse or not listen as well. This means that when people at school are wearing comfortable clothing, they will not pay attention or understand information nearly as well. However, the clothing that a dress code requires tends to be tight or rough, and is quite uncomfortable. Uncomfortable clothing is very good at forcing students to pay attention and focus during class, so that they can understand the material
Recently, more and more schools all over the country have turned to dress codes. Some people say that dress codes teach professionalism and protect students. However, schools should not have dress codes because dress codes target girls and limit their freedom of expression. They also are hard to enforce and students break them anyways. First, schools should not have dress codes because they target girls and limit freedom of expression.
Schools have banned leggings and hoodies which are not a form of distracting but they sure are comfortable choices of clothing. They have all the right to feel comfortable in their learning environment and not dress coded for that. Girls should also feel that dress code are supposed to free girls from sexualization. One example is by their role model, celebrities, and pop stars in which all dress to be attractive and sexy. So girls want to feel pretty or attractive but dress code gets in the way of how they want to be seen or feel.
The effect on this is that kids will either want to come to school. Another reason is because students will be nervous for school everyday. That why students should not wear uniform. In conclusion uniforms is a bad idea. Another reason students should not wear uniform is because students parents might struggle for paying for uniform and and the kids might feel uncomfortable wearing uniform.
There are three major positions on this issue. The first position is that student dress codes are necessary to produce a safe and productive environment for students, which will facilitate high achievement. The second position goes even farther, and says that dress codes should mandate uniforms for all students, claiming that the uniforms will make students focus more while removing concerns about fashion differences that would otherwise harm their self-esteem. Last, there is the position that school uniforms are unnecessary, and that they pose an unfair cost burden to families and restrict students' constitutional rights to free expression. Each side has some evidence in its favor, but ultimately the lack of hard statistics on costs and grading effects from dress codes make it apparent that more research is necessary to figure out what position has the best support for
Envision waking up every morning to put on the same outfit and walk out the door, stress free. People would not have to worry about what fits, or what is fashionable at the time. Schools would not have to worry about inappropriate clothing but at the same time, that clothing may be a way for a student to express himself. Many schools view uniforms as a solution to several problems, but many schools view uniforms as a lack of self expression. School uniforms should continue, even though children may not get to express themselves, because they prohibit violence, provide cheaper lifestyles, and promote better education.
In conclusion, school uniforms are a great thing to have in schools. Even though there is that argument on whether school uniforms will violate the right of self-expression to students it will continue either way. At the end of the day students should see that there are more positive effects with uniforms rather than negative ones. It should be taking in consideration that the clothes a student wears will not determine the ability of learning, but why not pick school uniforms that can help stop current school
Why can't girls wear colorful headbands to school? I think that girls should be allowed to show their personality in the way they want to and if this is by wearing a colorful headband, then let it happen. Headbands are useful many ways. Some of these ways might include; pulling back a girl's hair, preventing a girl from getting lice, preventing a girl from getting extremely sweaty and many more. This is why the principal should change the uniform code so that girls can wear a colorful headband to school.
Should Dress Codes be Used in Schools? On main question all students and teachers have been debating for years: should there be a school dress code? Many students and parents are concerned with the dress codes and their limitations(“School”). On the other hand, teachers and principles believe that dress codes should be enforced to protect students(“School”).
Many high schools have implemented dress codes that set rules for what students can and cannot wear while on school premises, and yet many people disagree with these policies. Though arguments can be made for either side, a dress code can have a very positive outcome for all parties involved. A fixed dress code promotes professionalism in a learning environment, and contrary to popular belief, it does not limit a student’s freedom of expression. Last but not least it encourages equality and acceptance among their peers. A dress code can be reasonable if used in proper situations that require certain attires.
