Mostly dealing with shorts, shirts, sometimes backpacks, and uniforms. These are some of the biggest issues in school that teachers and the school districts need to understand. To start with, shorts and short dresses are one of the greatest problems in school.

If you’re unwilling to present yourself as a professional, it could bleed into your work and others’ perceptions of you as an employee” (Osborne). Dress codes influence students to dress appropriately and maturely so that essentially, as students excel in high school, they are prepared to be professional. The way someone dresses say a lot about their personality which is why it is a good idea for students to be influenced to dress professionally if they want to be successful. Dress codes prevent people from wearing inappropriate attire because it limits access to certain clothing, accessories, and hairstyles.
Letting up on the dress code gives students to express them selves. This is important because it helps them makes friends easier and faster. It also gives them a chance to show what they like to show people they have the same interests that they might have. If the students want to wear it then they want to try something new and there obviously comfortable in it if they want to wear it. This also gives students a chance to see what kind of style they like and it gives them chances to experiment a little bit, but if the dress code is strict then they will be stuck wearing the same old thing and never try anything new.
Dress codes help students be better. They also have a lot of guidelines so that students are not being inappropriate. On the other side of the spectrum dress codes do not allow students to express themselves. They also make students feel like they are trapped in all the different things they are not allowed to wear. Dress codes are not the greatest but they will help you in life because they are helpful and have rules, they are negative, and positive.
Dress codes are a necessary aspect of school, and they help teenagers to focus more in school. Rules for how to dress prevent boys and girls from being distracted by fancy clothing. Often times, girls tend to focus on what other girls are wearing and how other girls may look super attractive or trashy. In addition, boys look at girls who are dressed in very releasing clothing. Whether the person is a boy or girl, both become distracted by revealing or poor clothing.
School Dress codes do not allow students to completely express their individuality. Schools want students to be able to think for themselves and create a sense of who they are, but it is not easy when they are forced to abide by rules that take away from from that. It should be a place of expressing ourselves freely in a learning environment without having to worry about what we wear as an interfering issue. The fact that the school system cares more about the student dress code than their education is an issue in itself. Schools should promote dress code individuality because of religious aspects, mental health, and human experience.
Dress codes lock schools up like jail, and they don’t give students any freedom. Because of school dress codes, kids are revolting at this decision. People enforced dress codes so students couldn’t distract one another, as a result dress codes have impeded learning in many schools. Many people favor dress codes, yet they cost extra money, limit the student’s freedom, and they can be uncomfortable, which is why dress codes are unnecessary.

Dress code can effect students by telling them that they shouldn’t wear clothes like tank tops, low riding jeans, short shorts, and much more because it will be distracting to students. I understand that schools just want to make sure they have a proper school learning experience, but it is bringing down the student’s self-confidence.
