A dream of most teenagers is to get their license so they have freedom. But, when the day comes for you to turn sixteen, it just so happens that they just passed a law that you can no longer get your license until you've had a high school education. You have to wait two more years to get something essential to life. Without a license teens will have to wait for their parents to get home to do anything, or take the bus. Most teenagers by junior year have jobs and they get there due to the fact that they have access to a vehicle and are street-legal. Waiting until you get a high school education so you can obtain a license is absurd due to the fact that teens need to be able to get themselves to-and-from school, work, and to assist their families with chores. …show more content…
Once they turn sixteen, and have acquired a permit for six months prior, they are eligible to test for a license and drive a car. This will help them with transportation to get to-and-from their home to their school and vice-versa. With being only a sophomore they would not have had a full education and wouldn’t be able to drive themselves and have to wake up at five-forty in the morning so they can catch their bus. The access to a vehicle can help them get a better night’s rest, seeing that they can sleep-in longer and don’t have to stress over about being on time to catch their dreaded bus. With the population of Broken Arrow Public School’s own Broken Arrow High School being over three-thousand students, it would be rather difficult to have parent’s/bus driver’s transporting their/the children to school all at the same time and it would cause more traffic-jams. Also the fact that students couldn’t drive without a diploma would be hectic for the parent/bus driver because it would be causing the time everyone to wake up to increase to five o’clock instead of the previous five-forty
